Hedera helix, also known as “Engish Ivy” or “Ivy”, is a true champion of purifying the air. Unlike most houseplants, the Hedera is not a tropical plant but is native to Europe, where it is used to cooler climates. So “Ivy” is an easy plant to take care of, and especially in hanging pots or tall pots it comes into its own beautifully. You can also see it showing off in a nice planter on your garden table or windowsill.

In summer, you can certainly place your Hedera outside, but avoid the bright sun. The plant prefers a (semi-)shady spot. Moreover, Hedera helix is available in different leaf shapes and shades of green, so you can always find a variety to suit your taste. All you need to do is keep the soil slightly moist; don’t water too much. That way you can enjoy this beautiful, air-purifying hanging plant for years to come!
