Our “BREATHE NATURE” explanation:

The Senecio rowleyanus, or “String-of-Pearls” is a particularly nice little plant that you won’t easily overlook. This hanging plant comes from South Africa and has long, sagging stems from which masses of thick, round leaf spheres grow. This makes the plant look like a beautiful string of pearls – a decorative eye-catcher perfect for a hanging basket or tall ornamental pots. Do you have stems that get a little too long? No problem! They can easily be shortened, so your plant always looks fresh.

The “String-of-Pearls” likes lots of light, but avoid direct sunlight, as she doesn’t like that very much. Keep her at room temperature and she’s perfectly happy with some room to hang and swing. She doesn’t like a lot of water, so only water her when the soil feels very dry, especially during the growing period. In the winter, the plant may be kept a little drier and can be a little fresher as it is in its hibernation. It is a low-maintenance plant that brings a playful, decorative atmosphere to your home without much effort.

All in all:

• Put her in a bright spot, but not in full sun.
• Room temperature is perfect, no sauna or freezer.
• Little water – give her some only when she is really thirsty.
• In winter she may be a little drier and cool down a bit.
• Hanging is her thing – shortening is allowed if she gets too wild!
