Our “BREATHE NATURE” explanation:

The Tradescantia albovitatta, also called the “Wandering Jew” has a name that often causes confusion. The name comes from its swaying, creeping growth patterns, which give it the freedom to “wander” through your home. Despite the name, however, the plant has nothing to do with the ancient myth of the “Wandering Jew,” which refers to a legend about a man who had to wander forever. Fortunately, the plant itself has nothing at all to do with that gloomy history – instead, it is a cheerful, tropical beauty!

With its striking, striped leaves in green, silver and white, this Tradescantia albovitatta is a playful addition to your interior. Native to Central and South America, it likes bright spots, but no direct sunlight. She is easy to maintain – a little water, the occasional mist shower and your plant will stay happy.

To keep her beautiful and full, you can trim the branches occasionally. This makes the plant grow fuller and keeps it from becoming too long and lanky. Whether you place her in a hanging basket or on a shelf, the “Wandering Jew” is sure to bring a playful, tropical feel to your home!

All in all:

  • Put her nicely in the light, but not in the sun.
  • Water her when the soil is dry – not too much, she is not a water rat.
  • An occasional mist shower and she’s happy.
  • Cut off long branches for a fuller look – no lanky plants here!
  • Room temperature is fine, no sauna or freezer.

“Enjoy every moment with your best friend forever from the ‘BREATHE NATURE’ collections!”
